Finn McMissile is the tritagonist of Pixar's 12th full-length animated feature film Cars 2.

He was voiced by Michael Caine.

What Makes Him an Action Hero?[]

  • Heroic/Honorable: He plays a major role in uncovering and stopping the Lemons' evil plan to hurt the World Grand Prix race cars with the EMP camera weapon to discredit alternative fuel, and warns Mater about a bomb planted on him so Lightning McQueen so other cars wouldn't be killed by the explosion; making him responsible for saving the lives of countless cars who could have been endangered.
  • Courageous: He is heroic, daring and extremely brave as a British spy and is willing to put his life on the line for a greater cause.
  • Athletic: He has high training and physical prowess and is able to perform impressive feats such as jumping off a massive oil rig platform and then turning himself into a boat on the water and later a submarine underwater, briskly and precisely navigating narrow backstreets and alleyways, and making use of machine guns and other dangerous weapons to disable enemies.
  • Is a Capable Fighter: He is an extremely skilled martial artist, as shown when he single-handedly fights several Lemon cars in Japan and defeats them, and he is also equipped with more weaponry and gadgets than the other spies which allow him to be extremely efficient in the field.
  • Intelligent: He is a highly intelligent and skilled British spy, being able to effectively handle tricky situations with his gadgets and stealth maneuvers, and also excels in providing deep insight into investigations and coming up with thorough and carefully-thought-out plans to ensure success.
  • Charismatic: He is able to use his charisma while interacting with others like Holley, Mater, and Tomber.
  • Confident: He confidently comes up with clever solutions to tight or unexpected situations, being able to quickly change plans on the fly the moment it becomes necessary.
  • Has Leadership Skills: He is shown to be a great mentor to Mater during their spy mission together, being responsible for Mater's journey to becoming a hero.
  • Determined: He is determined to find out the identity of the mastermind behind the whole Lemon terrorist plot and foil their villainous schemes.
  • Resilient: When he infiltrates the oil rig to discover more about the Lemons' intentions, he gets discovered and is forced to flee and fake his death before he can get enough information, and in Italy he gets captured by Professor Z's helicopter when he tries to stop Grem and Acer from hurting the race cars with the death ray, getting tied up in Big Bentley with Holley and Mater. Despite these setbacks, he is ultimately able to get back at the Lemons and play a significant role in their defeat in London.
  • Loyal: He is loyal to Mater and Holley for the entirety of their mission.
  • Compassionate: He is shown to be elegant, nice and kind to others like Mater and Holley, extending kindness and sharing a witty sense of humor.
  • Proactive: When he finds out the Lemons are pursuing Mater in Japan, he orders Holley to get Mater out of the pits.
  • Has a Strong Sense of Identity: He shows himself to be a brave, smart and eloquent spy and knows every trick in the book, being always prepared for any kind of situation.
  • Uses One-Liners: He has a number of one-liners such as "You never feel more alive than when you're almost dead" and "Being killed by a clock. Gives a whole new meaning to 'Your time has come'".
  • Muscular: He has high physical prowess which he uses while in action during missions.
  • Has Massive Weapons: He is equipped with a large number of spy gadgets, more than what the other spies have.
  • Is a Great Driver: He's literally a talking spy car who has efficient driving speed and skills.
  • Is a Lone Wolf: He is is independent and self-reliant, preferring to work alone and finding satisfaction in mastering new skills and technologies.
  • Is a Battle Maniac: He has no qualms about using lethal force to fight his enemies to protect the lives as innocents, as shown when he blows up countless Lemons while escaping from an oil rig, and goes on to kill many more of them with his vast array of weapons throughout the movie.
